Instrument patch 2002-11-14 11:34 am Where can I find the names of the instruments conventionally associated with the MIDI numbers 1 through 127? Quote Selected
Re: Instrument patch Reply #1 – 2002-11-14 03:55 pm Almost everywhere, for example herehttp://jedi.ks.uiuc.edu/~johns/links/music/gm.htm Quote Selected
Re: Instrument patch Reply #2 – 2002-11-15 12:12 am What I'd like to know is how to make the patch show the name ({String Ensemble 1}) instead of the number ({#049}) in the editor. Quote Selected
Re: Instrument patch Reply #3 – 2002-11-15 12:43 am I believe that's not supported by the program. Quote Selected
Re: Instrument patch Reply #5 – 2002-11-15 03:21 pm Ref reply 2 When I used noteworthy on a previous computer with a Gemlight motherboard and on board sound, it showed the names of voices as well as the number. It did not put instrument name on score. Quote Selected

Re: Instrument patch Reply #7 – 2002-11-16 03:50 am A clarification:MIDI recognizes numbers, not names. So, a custom arranged set of instruments don't have to include --say-- Grand Piano on Patch #0.There are several non-gm/gs soundfont sets available for exploiting this; "Vintage Dreams" for instance. It would be just confusing seeing "Acoustic Guitar" while playing a sophisticated pad.My TL 160,000 (€/$ 0.1) Quote Selected
Re: Instrument patch Reply #8 – 2003-01-15 11:55 am I should have looked in Noteworthy Command Reference, where on page 66 all is explained. It is simply a matter of selecting the right Patch type in Instrument Patch. Numeric 1 and Numeric 0 give numbeers only. general MIDI gives names Quote Selected
