Synth Strings

Hi. I wrote a song, and used "Synth Strings 1" for a certain effect, but I was wondering how to get the same sound if I were to have an orchestra play it. Thanks.

1: Print the parts you want to have sound like a real orchestra.

2: Give them to a real orchestra.

3: Have them play it.

If the above isn't possible, you can probably do a bit better by using the "String Ensemble I" patch. For long, sustained notes (pads) the "String Ensemble II" patch (aka "Slow Strings" on other sequencers) can give a good effect.

For more techno-ish strings, have a listen to some of the "pads" and "FX" later on in the GM list.
