Roland XP80

I have a few questions on the subject of playing drums on the XP80 I wonder if you would help me.

- One of the ways I would like to use the XP80 is as a drum machine while I am playing another instrument (e.g. guitar). I would like to be able to start and stop a drum pattern/loop and also be able to change patterns/loops in the middle of a song. I'd like to be able to use a foot pedal to do this since my hand will be occupied. Could you tell me how I can do that please? I tried to figure out from the manual but didn't go very far. I don't want to be tied to a fixed sequence for the entire song.

- Can I assign the pedals to play specific keys/notes on the keyboard so that I can trigger an RPS drum pattern/loop with a pedal?

- Do you know where I can get great/natural sounding drum patterns/loops that can be used on the Roland XP80?

Hi you need a control pedal on say pedal 1
so you hit, system, contol and contol again to get into the pedal asign menu. if you select 100 which is start stop you should be able to get RPS to work...Have fun!

Re Drum loops...E mail me and I will send you some. depends what you want. regards Karin.

Hi
I just bought an xp-80 and i was wondering if there is any way to change patches faster.
The only way i found best,is to make perfomances of 16 sounds each and just change parts.the problem is that i have to play all these sounds with a simple reverb and chorus, but every pach uses different reverb and chorus.
Is there any way so when i am in performance mode and i sellect a patch to it,to triger patch's own reverb and chorus?not to copy the reverb and chorus that the patch uses inside the perfomance, just to triger it,so when i change part the patch in that part to triger it's reverb and chorus.

thanks
