New Version vs. previous files

Hello,

Just wondering whether do I have to convert my 1.70 files to 1.70.9 and if so, how do I do it?

This is not necessary.

As NWC Support pointed out, there is no need to do anything since the file format has remained the same throughout the V1.70 maintenance upgrades.

Even files created with previous versions will load and run properly. It's a tribute to NoteWorthy's careful programming and concern for its users that full compatibility is maintained with previous file formats. When you save such a file in V1.70 (such as after editing it) you are even warned that the "previous version of the program will no longer be able to open it."

Thanks, but how shall I include the new features in my old files?

If you are referring to lyric alignment, this is set from Edit | Lyrics (Ctrl+L) in the Configuration tab.

I also mean things like these:

-- New: Spacing of notes is now consistent, regardless of whether
or not the note is adjacent to an invisible item

-- New: Beams between a note in the staff and another note
extending well above or below the staff now include a slant for improved appearance

Shall this be corrected automatically?

These are automatic.
