missing staves after first page

wow this is great...but without changing anything as far as setup of this piece goes, by the time I got to the "2nd" page worth of music, suddenly, all the bottom staves are missing from 4 th & 5th pages and by the 2nd page, even a right hand staff disappeared. I save every few minutes, so what else could I be doing wrong? I am novice and quite frankly, only throw bars in to keep down the confusion when playing back a piece to see if right and left hand notes align as melody. I have tried not to tamper with anything fundamental. Please, I have a deadline and must now sleep before churchbells start ringing...You are all quite wonderful to be helping like this. My first problem was answered within minutes...thank my God for fellow insomniacs

I think the biggest clue to your problem is where you said you 'only throw bars in to keep down the confusion when playing back a piece'. If the bar lines do not align across all staves I think you will find that staves cannot be shown as NWC does not know where to position the notes in relation to other staves. Try inserting all the bar lines to see if this solves your problem.

That was an understatement, of course, I am putting in rests as I go along...but calculating the exact rests to fill in between varying notes of the left hand piano staff to match exactly up with exact note desired of the right hand staff, all within measured bars.....come on! Why isn't there an automatic fill in of what-ever you tell it to fill in, in other staves you select to have fill ins, to match up with the active staff that is being written into? And if there is, what do you call that and how do you do it? I have written, gotten wrong, rewrote and got nearly right except for a few bars missing a few beats and because they were on my screen but wouldn't show in the print preview, I went back in and tried to rewrite some more and now I have about 5 completely messed up and only a little bit right versions of the same song. This was supposed to have been done a week ago for a pianist and 6 singers singing 3 part harmony, but at this rate, it'll be me singing alone ...from memory

Okay, it's fixed....after 3 days, finally, when all was good up to the last 2 bars which wouldn't line up for anything...I play and replay until I noticed that the 2nd to last notes may have, when highlighting automatically as playing, been just a hair out of sync, I changed the value of the lagging one by switching around some others values and their closest rests' values, which amounted to the difference of a 32nd of a beat, and then, it all lined up and now prints just as it is AND WAS showing all along in the work area window. a 32nd! And this error was creating about a 6 inch difference in the preprint view of the last 2 bars! But, it's fixed and now I will know to go right to that close inspection of the highlighting when playing to locate any possible errors. Thanks for the help
