Remove a tempo notation

I figured out how to add and edit tempo notations, but I can't see how to remove one (without removing a whole bar of the score).

Did you try positioning the cursor just to the right of the notation, then backspace? The notation is "grabbed" by that little gray diamond.

Works like a charm. Tried looking for how to select this and couldn't find it--thanks!
