Printing problem

Although my music is written properly when I come to print it, the first measure is stretched out all way across the page. After that it prints normal. It appears normal where I have created it but it also is stretched out for the first measure when I go to print preview. Any help?

A picture is worth a thousand words in these cases. If you send a sample to me along with a reference to this thread, I will see if you are doing anything that does not conform to NWC conventions, and reply back in this thread.

As it turns out, this is an easy one. You are working with a MIDI file. After you import the file into NWC, any edits you make should be saved to an *.nwc file, where they will be retained. In the case of your file, the printing situation is caused by the tempo track staff that appears last. You have two choices for removing this staff:

1 - Go to File | Page Setup | Contents and uncheck this staff

2 - Copy the tempo change to the top staff, then use Staff | Delete Staff to remove the empty tempo track staff

Your print effort will not go much better.
