Why??? 2001-03-04 05:00 am Sometimes when I am writing a song a not will be held out past it's proper duration. I have no idea if it is something wrong with my computer or not. This has become a real problem and hinders the quality of my compositions. Can any one help me, please? Quote Selected

Reply #1 – 2001-03-04 05:00 am The most common reason for held notes is different accidentals on notes tied across a barline.Highlight the second note of the tie (select the one to the right of the barline). The toolbar will show the status of the accidental on this note.The accidental should agree with that of the first note in the tie - if it does not correct it now.Be aware that implied accidentals on the first note are not always obvious.
