Repeat patterns

Hi all,
I'm trying to do the following tasks and can't figure out how, though I've searched thru the whole site (both online and offline) so please help.

1. For guitar, I'd like to play a chord in some certain pattern throughout the whole song, so right now I have to write chord members for each chord which is rather tedious, so I'm wondering if there's anyway, I could create a pattern with the first chord (say Am), then apply the same pattern for other chords in the songs (say Dm, or E7)

2. I'd like to do the same thing for bass.

3. I'm also looking for a tutorial/instruction on how to create the drum sounds. I've tried the drum sample then copy-n-paste the sounds I like onto my active staffs, but I'd like to find out the right way to do it.

Your help is much appreciated :) Thanks.

I'm presuming that you're creating the guitar chord patterns by notating the notes and chords explicitly.

You can create the pattern you use for a measure's worth, or whatever, of the D chord; then select it with the mouse and then paste it repeatedly. To make another chord, select the pasted sequence and use the Control, Shift and arrow keys to move the notes up and down; then apply accidentals as appropriate.

Hope this helps a bit.
