Centering lyric syllables under the note

NWC appears to align the beginning of a word or syllable under the note to which it is tied. Is there a way to change this and have it center the syllable under the note instead?

Thanks for a great product that even a non-musician such as myself can use.

This might do it for you. Select all the notes on the staff, CNTL-E or Alt-Enter. Click on tne Notes tab, and set the additional note spacing to 1. (You'll have to do this on all staves in order for the notes to line up across the staves.)

This would work, but there are at least two drwabacks:

1. It extends the width of each bar. In other words, although there is plenty of room to place the lyrics 'centred', adding extra note spacing will increase the size of the bar unnecessarily.

2. Lyrics are still placed relative to any accidentals (on this stave, or any other!), Which is a right pain!

I don't know whether multiple submissions to the wish list by the same person is effective (I doubt it), but please can anyone who agrees submit something.

I use insert text and put
in spaces to get certain
lyrics and chord symbols
directly under the note.
