Using PGMusics Band-In-A-Box for harmonization

I just "discovered" this great notation tool the other day. Only a couple of uses and I was sold! Why not for $39? This will be a great tool for publishing for copyright -- my sole intention for this product.

I use PGMusic's Band-In-A-Box for all music development and performance (see http://www.pgmusic.com)..) I consider this software to be one of the great accomplishments of creativity to be implemented in software. If you aren't aware of their latest improvements, it is definitely worth your time to investigate!

Are there any other users of Band-In-A-Box that also use NWC? Specifically, has anyone used BiaB to add SATB, or to generated vocal/piano arrangements? I would think that importing MIDI files from BiaB, following certain procedures (styles, harmonies or the like in BiaB) would be an outstanding time saver in NWC!

One problem you may find with importing harmonies is that BIAB generally use the top three voices for the basic triad and places the added notes (6ths and 7ths) in the 4th or lower voices.

You end up with a lot of crossing in the lower parts involving quite a bit of cut and paste.
Apart from that it works well.

I limit BIAB to solos to fill out big band arrangements, the occasional piano backing under solos (but a bit mechanical).
I prefer to write bass and drum parts myself.

In fact, I have been successful using NoteWorthy Composer and Band-In-A-Box to generate an arrangement that I felt was adequate to register for copyright. To hear a MIDI version of the song, access:

The Music Related page has a NoteWorthy Composer section, where I show the first page of the orchestration score: melody, piano and bass. I also discuss how I used Band-In-A-Box and NoteWorthy Composer together. The entire process is quite enjoyable and very satisfing!
