no playback when iconized or playback

Whe I Iconize NWC or if it isnt the current window
then "playback" stops. This is a nuisance for example
if I try to adjust the volume using a different program,
NWC stops the playback.

P.S.
(hint hint why I can't I adjust volume, stereo, voicing, balance interactivly - the various midi sequencers come
now where near to NWC as far as data entry and printing is concerned - but NWC has a long way to go on the interactive
(real time) controls -it real needs a "mixer" view, or even
better - sliders with choosable function (to save space)
for each staff (say on one side of the window)

I think your problem is almost certainly due to your MIDI settings. In NWC, go to <Tools>(on the menu bar)<Options><Midi>, then set the <Port Usage> to 'Always'. Then NWC should play all the time, even when minimised or not the active window. HTH, Peter.
