repeating. need help

i only have the trial version so i don't know if it is impossible to do this without buying it, but is it possible to do something like a special ending except for using it for a normal measure.

it should look something like                     2x
                                            | b b b b  (b b - -) |
of what i am trying to describe.
(b's are notes)

does anyone know what i'm talking about?

i assume you mean you want to play the original notes 2 times and the on the third time round leave of half the phrase?

You can hide barlines. Attached is a literal interpretation of what I take you to be describing.

Just set one of your User Fonts to an appropriate size and put the parens in as text.

For sound purposes, you might want to try this.

I think K.A.T.'s example is probably it.  Just make the special endings invisible and copy in the brackets and 2x from Kahlman's example.

Hot darn! You guys is good.
