Help! Cakewalk won't start!

Anyone!

I'm running Cakewalk Home Studio on Windows 98. It won't open! It always tells me that an error occured and it needs to close right at the start. I already tried reinstalling it and it still won't work. Please help!

Alternatively, uninstall Cakewalk and download/install/buy Noteworthy!  It doesn't hang, and is easy to use.

I use both, Noteworth Composer and Cakewalk. I compose the songs on Noteworthy, then I record the MIDIs and convert them to MP3s through Cakewalk. I know there is a record option from Noteworthy, but Cakewalk is a little easier and I prefer its special effects.

The record option through NWC isn't for making mp3 files. But if that's what you want to do with your NWC composition, you can get software (some of it free) that will help you. There's a lengthy user tip on that subject.

I have the same Error.  It happend when i saved a file under cakewalk and my pc froze (I guess from using a FloppyDisk Crap) I restarted it.  Cakewalk did not open. I get some stupid Error Send Error report. I been through the Cakewalk Site. I reinstalled 4 times and the same error comes. Prefernce i like Cakewalk for  its Channels and midi imports which i use on my drumsets. now i need to have it working. I dont know where to go.  The error code itself is on record 0x0000000001 somethin
