Cap Accents

Are the cap accents ^ not available in NWC? Is this just an addition to the wish list. I don't want to have to enter them as text either.

No, unfortunately the hat is not available. What is very curious is that the sign (^) is in the Noteworthy font, but just not used. Definitely a Wish List item, and, I would assume, pretty trivial to implement!

I know some guys who call them "rooftop accents," which I don't like.  Thanks for calling them "Cap Accents."

They're also known as "tent" accents.

I have always known then as a marcato articulation marking.  I have heard them called rooftop or cap accents..... but I am almost positive that the correct term is Marcato.  Thats my 2 cents.

I think Marcato is correct.

However, people will use descriptive expressions from time to time.  For instance, my former conductor used to say pigs' eye, gunsight and railroad tracks when referring to fermatas, coda signs and cesura (hope I'm spelling it correctly).
