Re: Drums Reply #1 – 2004-03-04 05:56 pm In order to use drum sounds, you need to set your staff to channel 10. Just right click on the staff, select staff properties, go to the MIDI tab, and you will see where you can change the channel to 10.If you want to see the different drum instruments available to you, then open the DRUMREF.NWC file that came with NoteWorthy Composer. This file is handy for programming drums in NWC. It's located in the SAMPLES directory where you installed NoteWorthy Composer.Enjoy,John Quote Selected

Re: Drums Reply #3 – 2004-03-05 01:56 am You'll get better drum sounds by setting the instrument on the Channel 10 staff to Piano than by picking the various drum types listed. Quote Selected
Re: Drums Reply #4 – 2004-03-06 12:34 am I hear everybody talking about Channel 10, but the only thing that happens when I turn to ch. 10, I get some kind of UFO sound. I know it sounds crazy, but I'm having the same drum questions. Quote Selected

Open the DRUMREF.NWC sample. Now, press Play (F5) to hear the rhythm that you just opened. Press 'r' (Tools, Score Review) to review the MIDI settings for the drum parts. Quote Selected
