Transposing...sort of

Many midis I import use accidentals...usually sharps...in the music, and no key signature.  If the tune is in a sharp key I can add a signature and audit accidentals to fix this.  If a flat key, I can't figure out what to do. I just imported a piece in Bb, for instance, but Noteworthy transciibed the tune in sharps... I tried transposing up to c major...but as I had guessed, Noteworthy considered the c's for example, to be B#s.  Any suggestions?  Thanks

If you're using the newest version of NWC, there's an option in the transpose tool to "minimise accidentals", "favour sharps", or "favour flats". You can transpose zero semitones to clean up an existing score.

John:  Thanks for both of your clear explanations.  I'll give them a try tonight!
