Issue with a coda and key change

Hi all
The issue I'm having is this:
the song starts in E flat major and then changes to G major. It then comes to the DS al Coda and goes back to the segno, which is in E flat major. But the second time through, it doesn't play it in the right key. I sounds like it is still playing it in G major.

How can I fix this?

Hi Bookie

You can put an E flat Major key sig immediately after the segno mark and then hide it so that it doesn't print out.
To hide it, select the key sig and then select ALT and ENTER to go to the properties and then on the visibility tab, select "Show on Printed Page " = Never.

(don't forget that the DS marking and the Segno have to be on all staves and so does the invisible key change)

Software can be maddening when it does what you tell it to do rather than what you want it to do.

I wouldn't. The performer needs to see this Key change. Something like this:

If there is a change of Clef or time signature, the perfomer will need to see that as well.

NoteWorthy doesn't do a very good job of setting Codas off from the main body of music. Sometimes post-processing needs to be done as in the attachment.

Neither would I put a hidden key change through my own choice - However, I was answering with the understanding (maybe misplaced) that bookie was transcribing and the piece went wrong and was needed to be fixed whilst retaining the music as written on the score. This would certainly do that - But I agree whole heartedly that if I were reading such a score, I would certainly like an aide memoire at the point that the music jumps into the middle of a section with a different key.

Thanks for your comments and help. As for why I need this, I was entering a piece of music in the vocal with piano accompaniment template. This is so my daughter can practice with music without me having to bang it out on the piano, most often crucifying it, and without her accompanist (who isn't overly cheap).

I will try each of your suggestions and use which ever one works. Thanks again. I'll let you know how I make out.

If you never need to print it, you might consider writing it straight out with no repeats or codas.

This would eliminate the jumps which can be confusing to a vocalist trying to learn a new piece. It is also much easier to start at a specific verse.
