New behaviour in new update message

I've had the check for new update message three times so far this month when opening NWC2. I don't mind once each month, but three times suggests whatever it was that limited the occurrence to once only in earlier months isn't doing the same for July. No big problem, because I use NWC2 as my easy way to the forum and was coming here anyway, but it seems to be a minor bug.

I moved this to the NWC2 area.

A few updates ago, this behavior was improved such that the message only appears once per day. The web page that is linked to the message indicated when the update would be available. It (Beta 2) is now available.
