Hullo. I am looking for the best way of converting an nwc file to a ps file, or any other file that will simply & easily fit into a LaTeX document. At present I cannot even convert the nwc file into a emf file that looks good in Open Office [I use Ubuntu, btw].
Thanks, Lawrie. Apparantely it was the print driver. I went to print, then properties, & noticed it was set to index card size. I changed that to legal size paper. Then I printed the piece of music I was looking at. After that, all my music was print previewing normally & printing normally.
I have several pieces of music that was taking up but a single sheet of music, that now take up 7 or more. Its as if I switched my margins from 0.40 to 1.00 or greater all around. This prob just ``suddenly'' appeared. I use NWC2 under wine for Ubuntu, & thus far have not had *any* probs. Help, please.
I need to reinstall NWC2 on my new pc. However, it is a netbook, so I have no optical drive. I can download the free version, but how do I make that an authorized version? When I ordered NWC2, @ a mo ago, I forgot to save the email containing my registration info. Any help??? Thanks.
Thanks, Rick. I finally figured out what font wine was 'whinning' about & changed it out to another font, & now - no prob. Thanks again Rick & thanks to Lawrie for sticking this one out for so long.
What I tried may have not quite been what you suggested, as I did not know quite how to create a text object in NWC1, but here's what I did. I took one of the samples (God Save the Queen - being somewhat of an anglophile - lol) & for the lyric text font, I changed it to the NWC2 whatever - when I printed it, I got symbols for the text instead of a normal text. So, does that mean that NWC2 etc is registered? If so, what next???
I can print under NWC1 & wine. But, when I tried to print some of my NWC2 files, I get the prob mentioned earlier. So, how do I properly install the 'symbol' font I need???
I am having trouble printing from NWC2. I am using NWC2 under wine, & have been having no probs, but lately, when I go to print; all I get back is the title, author, & one line of staff paper - no key sig, no staves or clefs, no notes, no lyrics, etc - in short no msusic whatsoever. Any help??? I tried uninstalling & reinstalling but to no avail.
I have lost my CD for NWC. I have since downloaded the NWC2 trial version from the website. I do; however, have all of the info from the front of the CD. How can I register the version I have now downloaded???
Yes, Lawrie I do get system sounds, & yes I can play mp3's too. I dunno if I can play a non-NWC MIDI. I haven't tried yet, & I don't think that any essential services are turned off. Thanks for the help thus far.
I am using NWC through WINE on ubuntu. Things r going fine, x I cannot hear anything during playback. Last time I had this prob, I switched the midi voices to: String Ensemble, & it worked fine, but now it isn't working. Help please. Everything else works fine. Oh, also I need to register my software, but no longer have the CD - I do have the info from the cover of the CD though.
I have ubuntu, & am using a derivative of wine to run nwc2. It works out fine, & as i am used to nwc, I would rather use it than something else. I recently downloaded Primopdf to be able to convert nwc to pdf, but it is not working. When I go to print, & select Primopdf & hit OK, nothing happens. Please someone help.
