Where can I find the names of the instruments conventionally associated with the MIDI numbers 1 through 127?

What I'd like to know is how to make the patch show the name ({String Ensemble 1}) instead of the number ({#049}) in the editor.

I believe that's not supported by the program.

Ref reply 2 When I used noteworthy on a previous computer with a Gemlight motherboard and on board sound, it showed the names of voices as well as the number. It did not put instrument name on score.

A clarification:

MIDI recognizes numbers, not names. So, a custom arranged set of instruments don't have to include --say-- Grand Piano on Patch #0.

There are several non-gm/gs soundfont sets available for exploiting this; "Vintage Dreams" for instance. It would be just confusing seeing "Acoustic Guitar" while playing a sophisticated pad.

I should have looked in Noteworthy Command Reference, where on page 66 all is explained. It is simply a matter of selecting the right Patch type in Instrument Patch. Numeric 1 and Numeric 0 give numbeers only. general MIDI gives names
