dunno mate, here's their definition:
Cross-Staff Beaming
Through the software, you can connect notes, such as sixteenth or half notes, with beams.
Even it doesn't seem accurate to me... Beam a MINIM (half note) 
(ignoring tremolo's here 'cos I don't think that's what they're talking about.)
