Selecting more than 1 staff to edit

Anybody know how to select whole pieces of a score to edit move or cut, rather than just a staff at a time?

Select operations only apply in the active staff.

And I can't activate more than 1 staff?

Only one at a time. I too would like this feature, but its something I have learnt to live with.
