Lyric Placement for Choral Scores

If the men and ladies are singing parts together, the lyrics drop in just fine, but if the ladies rest for a few beats and only the men sing, how do I get the lyrics to keep going if one of the staves drops out for a few beats? (soprano and alto on one staff, tenor and bass on another staff)

You should either:

1 - Read the "How do I skip notes that I do not want to have lyrics?" section in the FAQ (on this web site)

2 - Press the Help button in the Lyric editor and read about how the underscore character works
