When scoring a lead guitar solo can I get a pitch bend sound without using a series of 32nd or 64th grace notes?

Yes, using the multipoint controller "pitch bend" with "linear sweep".

Thank you. Do you have to use this in conjunction with slurs? And how can I learn what the various settings indicate?
