Articulation on the wrong voice

I think long ago I had the same problem, but I can't remember the solution.

In this snippet, in the first chord of bars 2 and 4, the staccato of course refers to the lower chord, not to the upper theme.
I'm unable to put the dot below the chord.
Any idea?

Any idea?
Idea #1: Use a layer. Essential if you care about playback.
Idea #2: Use text:
Code: (nwc) [Select · Download]
!NoteWorthyComposerClip(2.51,Single)
|Text|Text:"z___"|Font:StaffSymbols|Pos:-12|Justify:Right|Placement:AtNextNote
|Chord|Dur:8th,Slur|Pos:0|Opts:Stem=Up,Slur=Upward,Beam=First,ArticulationsOnStem|Dur2:4th|Pos2:-4,-2
|Note|Dur:16th,Slur|Pos:3|Opts:Stem=Up,Slur=Upward,Beam
|Note|Dur:16th,Slur|Pos:5|Opts:Stem=Up,Slur=Upward,Beam=End

Indeed for the sake of playback the layering is the way to go.
And for the appearance only, the text can fit the bill.
Anyway, I wonder why it's not possible to switch the dot position with <shift><arrow-up> or <shift><arrow-down> as usual.

I usually need the control key as well.

Do you mean <shift><ctrl><arrow-up/down>?
That combination of keys is used to shift the whole chord (or the single note) up or down!

If you mean <ctrl><arrow-up/down> then this makes the cursor jump up or down one octave.

If you have an articulation as text, it will move it up/down.

Yes, but I was talking about the "native" articulation (in this case: a dot).
