Newbie Looking For Brass Music

Hi, Everyone,

I'm new here to the forum; although I've been a NWCer for a looong time. I originally purchased it when involved with music at my church about 20 years ago.

Now I'm a homeschool Dad. I play trombone; and I have two sons learning to play the trumpet. So - can anyone point me to a repository of public domain classical music that has been transcribed using NWC for instrumentation? I'd love to use NWC to get access to brass solos, duets & trios.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For all things trombone, the trombone forum can be useful - no NWC files that I know of, but lots of resources that might help.

For trumpet, try the trumpet herald. I don't really know much about it other than I've heard it can be a useful resource.

Thanks so much for the wealth of info. I'm going off right now to explore all of those links.

The Cyberhymnal (link not permitted with my standard account, but here it is - wwwDOThymntimeDOTcom/tch/indexDOThtm) is a Christian site that has almost 10,000 hymns, choruses & gospel songs that include NWC scores - very useful indeed for manipulating a hymn for brass trio. I was hopeful to find something like that for classical music.

As a forum newbie here, I'll look forward to learning about the treasures that exist on the 'net. Thank you for your kindness.
