Player Crashes in NT 4 1998-11-23 05:00 am Hello. Previously installed on a Windows NT 4 SP2 system was NoteWorthy Player 1.5. This version would load a mid file and play (showing notes), but no volume for the MID would play through the speakers. Even though MID files would play in Windows NT Media Player. It was as if MID volume for NoteWorthy Player alone had been turned off.Removed that software, and installed version 1.55 of Noteworthy player. Now, noteworthy player will play a midi file, and I can see the notes come through. However, with auto-repeat enabled it will stop playing at the end of a file. It will not repeat. What's more, if I try to open another MIDI after the first one. No matter where in the first song it is, Player will crash out of NT. I cannot play more than 1 midi file without closing player first. In addition, now MIDI files no longer play in Media Player. I can hear them in NoteWorthy, but no longer in NT. It is as if the problem that was part of 1.5 has been reversed in 1.55! Please if you have information email me at Intratech@msn.com. I can no longer play MIDI files on my Windows NT machine after this install! Only through NW Player and then only 1 song without crashing or closing NWP!Thanks in Advance. Quote Selected
Re: Player Crashes in NT 4 Reply #1 – 1998-11-23 05:00 am You can restore MIDI play back capability for your media player by rebooting your machine (ie. do a full powered down reset of your machine). For those who have experienced problems with the Player version 1.55, we have uploaded a new release of both the 16-bit and 32-bit player, version 1.55a. This version corrects the reliabliity problems in version 1.55, and reinstates a file history facility for your file opening pleasure. You can get the latest player release from http://www.noteworthysoftware.com/player/ Quote Selected
Re: Player Crashes in NT 4 Reply #2 – 1998-11-23 05:00 am Thanks a million! I can tell you that 1.5a has been tested here on my machine, and the problem of it crashing on a new midi file has been fixed. The auto-repeat feature of the program still does not work, however. As it reaches the end of the song, it says "playing" at the bottom of the program, but never rewinds. This does not appear to represent a problem to the system or the program, however. In any case, I appreciate how quickly you responded to this situation. Very impressive! Quote Selected
Re: Player Crashes in NT 4 Reply #3 – 1998-11-24 05:00 am The auto repeat feature works for me. Maybe you could give an exact example of the problem (the exact sequence you do), so that we can test it here. Quote Selected
