Automatic step

When using "linear sweep" in MPC you need to select a step.
It's easy to overlook that step (sorry for the pun) and choose a too small step (sorry again :-), with resulting odd troubles with the midi, or a too big step, with the resulting harsh sounding sweep.

Doesn't exist a way (an algorithm) to automatize the step selection (and automatically readjust it when changing tempo)?
Or someone found useful to purposedly set it to a "wrong" value?

I think not. The optimal granularity depends on what is being swept, the time that the sweep is in effect, and the Patch/Bank. It further depends on synth performance.

IMO, improvements can be made to the Tempo Variance Command (Accelerando, Allargando, Rallentando, Ritardando, Ritenuto, Rubato, and Stringendo) so that it changes the Tempo only when 'Note On' occurs at a new delta.
