Stuck sharp sign, etc

Whenever I am entering notes on the staff, if I select the sharp or flat as an accidental it then 'sticks' and will flat or sharp every subsequent note unless I manually deselect.  The same with dotted note values.  Is there a fix for this?

This behaviour doesn't exactly require a fix. However, it is controlled by the Tools, Persistent Note Tools menu option.
