OCR and NWC

Can Noteworthy be used to edit the output from any music OCR packages?
There is a package called Musitek MIDIScan which interfaces with notation packages using a file transfer format called Notation Interchange File Format (NIFF). Is this something which could eventually be compatible with NWC?

At this time, be sure to save the midiscan file into a .mid format.

When working with midiscan, I sometimes find it easiest to make the broad brush editing (key, time, clef) initially thru midiscan, save the result in a .mid format, and then import into Noteworthy for the "finer" editing. Noteworthy is a bit more user friendly.

Hope that helps.

I'd be interested if Noteworthy considered NIFF the way to go.
Whilst it looks like a good broadbased and open file format,
not many companies have decided to use it yet.

Any comments, Eric?

We are currently reviewing the NIFF spec. however, we have no specific comment on it at this time.

I should be nice if newer versions of Noteworthy Composer
could Open/Save Niff File Format...

Come on Noteworthy! A free-standing piece of software to convert NIFF to NWC would be a great asset don't you think ?
