Help with slured grace notes

Greetings! I'm new here to the community but i'm sure someone can help or offer a suggestion.

I've recently upgraded to NWC2... (LOVE IT!) but i'm having a problem with slurs on grace notes (hopefully i dont make this too confusing) and trying to figure out how to make the slur end where it needs to be.

example.... half note, gr note: gr note, half note

the slur begins at the first half note and should end at the 2nd grace note

I've used NWC1 for quite a few years and that program would allow me to do this,
however now I'm using NWC2, and it automatically connects the slur to the 2nd half note as well.

this can be a big problem as i'm writing music for cello and it changes the bowing structure, the only solution i've found so far is it print the page with out the slurs and then write them in by hand... NOT FUN ! and it looks 'messy'
