How do I create a simple jazz cymbal pattern in triplets?

I've tested all kinds of notation programs, and IMO they all suck when it comes to supporting triplets. I'm a drummer and would like an easy notation program to print out nice looking exercises of triplet drum kit patterns (without jumping through hoops on every measure). Am I asking too much??? I'm guessing that programatically, it's difficult to do?

I know how to setup 1/8 note triplets from the Demo, but how do I create a "ding ding-a-ding ding-a-ding" traditional pattern and add triplet snare/bass notes to it?

Tried creating 1/8 note triplets, then deleting the middle one, but that didn't seem to work.

Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum,

If you could provide some links to images of notation you want to duplicate, we could help.
I know a bit about how to make NoteWorthy look like sheet music, but as a piano player, "ding ding-a-ding ding-a-ding", doesn't mean anything.

Have you tried: '8th note, 8th rest, 8th note', then make it a triple?

|Rest|Dur:8th,Triplet
|Note|Dur:8th,Triplet=End|Pos:0|Opts:Stem=Down,Beam=End
!NoteWorthyComposerClip-End
