slurs on only part of the staff

I have a 4 note chord. 2 are half notes in the right hand and one is a quarter note in the left hand. the last is a quarter note that slurs to another quarter note. How can I do this?

I assume the last crotchet (quarter note) is also in the left hand...

There are several sequences of commands you could use, but perhaps the easiest is to simply press the ";" (semicolon) key prior to placing the first crotchet, then place the first crotchet, then place the second crotchet - the ";" is the keyboard shortcut for a slur and when the second crotchet is in place the slur will automatically appear.
