The difference of the same *.nwc files

There are two different nwc files, which has the same contents.
These are named "Standard NWC file" and "Uncompressed NWC file".

I have got an NWC file...

I've saved this file to standard and uncompressed.

The size of the uncompressed file is much bigger.

I know that they differ from themselves.
The difference is size.

But ONLY SIZE??
Isn't there any differences more?

The standard version is simple a compressed version of the native or raw file.

The raw file (in version 1.xx NWC) used to be the original and only file structure.

The compressed version was introduced, in the main, so that the files would be a lot more compact for using and downloading from the internet.

Many file structures these days use compression algorhythms to vastly reduce file sizes. (Take for example MP3 etc)

It is interesting to note that if you take a single standard (compressed) NWC file and zip it up, then the zip file is actually larger than the original nwc file. There is no real reason to use the uncompressed file, there is no advantage or difference - in fact the disadvantage is the size.
