Notation Clip Text 2005-06-23 09:44 pm How does one construct a NWC Notation Clip Text as I have seen used in NWC2 Forum by other users? Quote Selected
Re: Notation Clip Text Reply #1 – 2005-06-23 10:25 pm Simply highlight a whole staff <Home>, then <Shift-End>, then <Control-C> to copy. You then paste <Control-P> it into your post. It looks like [abbr=assuming you read very repetitious text with lots of "|" symbols]ordinary[/abbr] text. The forum automagically converts it when you submit. You can see it in the preview. Re: Notation Clip Text Reply #2 – 2005-06-24 02:09 am Not only can you paste an entire staff, you can do as few or as many notes, bars, letters, symbols. It's just what you highlight to copy. You are limited to 2 clips in any one posting, but you can always do more in additional postings. You can also paste your clip into a text editor or word processor, do things like a global search and replace, then paste it back into a staff in NWC2. I think one of the user tools has reduced the need for that, but it's a nice trick to have up your sleeve. Quote Selected
Re: Notation Clip Text Reply #3 – 2005-06-24 01:36 pm Thanks fellers, I've wondered how it was done. But shouldn't you paste it with the usual Ctrl V? Quote Selected
Re: Notation Clip Text Reply #4 – 2005-06-24 01:57 pm Why yes, of course. Ctrl-V, and I believe Shift-Insert works as well. Ctrl-P would try to print...Have a sunny weekend, and don't melt,Rob. Quote Selected

Re: Notation Clip Text Reply #6 – 2005-06-25 10:25 am We've had a heatwave, and a loud thunderstorm last night. We won't melt either. Quote Selected
Re: Notation Clip Text Reply #7 – 2005-06-26 11:24 pm Oops, yes - <Control-V>. Sorry! It's probably because I feel the key combination/movement as a single thing, but am thinking "paste...paste...paste". Much like the way you play a chord on a piano but think "Bbm...Bbm...Bbm" rather than the actual notes.Well, that's my poor excuse, and I'm sticking to it! Quote Selected
