Tuning noteworthy

i read a post about a guy who's computer seemed to play stuff sharp. that post seems to have dissapeaed so i created this. goto the control panels in the thingy on the left click other control> panel options> multi channel sound manager>switch the key thing down

I would suppose that the "thingy on the left" is a thingy, and that is is located at left.

the thingy is a panel, my apologies my mind was kinda blank at the time

Well, I finally deciphered your suggestion, went to the control panel, selected other control panel options and there is no multi channel sound manager available.  This sounds like something that is likely only supported by certain sound cards.
