What measure am I on? 1997-11-16 05:00 am If you have multiple staffs and cannot see all of them at the same time in your edit window then pressing CTRL+G willtell you what measure you are in.An alternative solution that works for me is to make thetop staff the melody line (or enough measures of whole noterests to complete your composition), go to page setup andadd measure numbers. Then go to STAFF/MOVE STAFF and click on the staff number where you are working (and cannot see)and rearrange the staff numbers so you can see the staffwith the measure numbers (the top staff). Measure numbersdo not move with the staff. Quote Selected
Re: What measure am I on? Reply #1 – 1997-11-29 05:00 am Right, these two solutions work well. Another that you'll appreciate is the'custom view' in the 1.50 version... just look at it (note that if you usewin3.x and have te Win32s addons the 32bit version will work except for preview and playings)hope this helps Quote Selected
Re: What measure am I on? Reply #2 – 1998-05-02 04:00 am How about what note I am on? Sometimes I can't tell especially if I get down below middle C. I am entering notes using a computer keyboard. Is there an option to display a note in letter as well as in musical note?I would appreciate any help. Quote Selected
Re: What measure am I on? Reply #3 – 1998-05-04 04:00 am If you have difficulty in figuring out where you are when the cursor is way below or way above the current staff you could try this.Position the cursor on the note you require within the staff - then hold down CTRL and press the UP or DOWN ARROW to move the cursor up or down one octave.
