classical song 2005-01-25 03:25 am I'm sure with all these musically experienced people around, this should be a cinch..There's a classical song that was used in an old Disney cartoon, and has been referenced in several movies, but I can't remember for the life of me what it's called or by whom it was composed. It's a waltz, and the notes are as follows:EFGF#GF#GF#GAEFGDECDED#ED#ED#EDCCBBDCAGthat's an awfully convoluted way of writing it out, and for that I apologize, but I've had this song in my head forever without knowing what it is.any help would be appreciated. Re: classical song Reply #1 – 2005-01-25 08:34 am This is the tune that Harold Hill gets all the kids to "think" in "Music Man" - "La di da di da di da di da. La di da, La di da". He refers to it as "The minuet in G". I think it's Mozart, but no doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong.Robin Quote Selected

Re: classical song Reply #5 – 2005-01-28 02:51 am Check out http://la.znet.com/~iwamura/page2.html , which has an impressive index of classical themes, and a very slick Java user interface. IT says it's a Beethoven number, and will give you a whole MIDI file to prove it. Quote Selected
