feature request: 'small clef' option

I really think NWC needs a 'small clef' option and not always preserve width, because sometimes a measure may only have like, a single whole note, so the extra spacing is not needed

It most certainly does. Simple to implement, and would correct an obvious flaw in NWC.

I do this with text items right now.
I would like it to be native to the program also.
