Lyric Wordsand Slurs

I want to include slurs to indicate phrasing in the music. However I do not want a single syllable of the lyrics to be associated with all the notes covered by the slur. How can I decouple the slur and the lyrics?

Use the Lyric Syllable option in Note Properties. Select the note phrase, Edit Properties, then alter the Lyric Syllable option as needed.
