name of song

I know this has nothing to do with "NoteWorthy Composer", but I want to know the name of the orchestral piece on the "Beef, it's whats for dinner" commercial.

Does anyone know? (I hope I'm not the only one who doesn't!)

It is called "Hoedown" by Aaron Copland.
And it's not a "song" because it is not sung.
Referring to it as an orchestral piece is the correct thing to do.

It probably would correctly be referred to as a tone poem.

It's ballet music!

Aaron Copland took the tune virtually note for note from Bill Stepp's setting of the  old-timey fiddle piece, "Bonaparte's Retreat".  He likely either found it from Alan Lomax' recording or Ruth Crawford Seeger's transcription.
