chord notation

I have seen the chord symbols (F, Bb, C7, etc.), in the sample of Jingle Bells on the installation disk. However, I can't seem to find how to enter or edit these chord notations in this or my own work. Where would I find out how to do this?

The chord symbols are added simply as text expressions.

To add a text expression:

  • Move the cursor the suitable place,
  • Press T on the keyboard, or select Text in the Insert menu,
  • Type the desired text in the Expression box and choose a font of your liking in the Display Font box. Then click OK.

Yes. And I might add:
Move the cursur between the notes where you want the text item. Also, move the cursor up or down before you type 'x' !
OTOH, once you have entered a text item, you can mark it, and shift it up or down with Ctrl+Shift+Up or Ctrl+Shift+Down.
