Price of NWC 2

I'm a long-time user but haven't posted here for a while.  While troubleshooting some registration issue years ago  I had occasion to ask Noteworhty folk if I had to pay for some upgrade (which I didn't) and that I would "cheerfully" pay for it.  Since then I've noticed how many people, grateful, like myself, for such a reasonably priced programm that is so useful and that has become a part of one's life, have used words like "I'll pay whatever it takes" and "I'd pay double that amount" etc etc.  So just to be wicked and play the Devil's Advocate, what is this amount we're looking at?  Does anybody have an idea?  I'm willing to  pay *a lot more* than what I paid years ago for NWC, but maybe all my feelings of love and goodwill would go out the window if I had to pay 300-600 dollars like for those others.  I wonder if the Noteworhty people are tempted to jack the price up every time someone says "I'll pay whatever you charge" kind of thing? :-}  :-}
Anybody have any idea?
If I've stepped on anyone's toes I'll just make up for it by submitting a new arrangement to the newgroup.

I don't work for, or speak for, Noteworthy Software. But I did participate in the private beta test that preceded the public announcement. On the private beta test forum, your topic was raised. The private response from Noteworthy was noncommittal.

So, if the public response is also noncommittal, don't feel that you are being left out of insider information!

My own wild guess is that NWC2 will be priced in relationship to alternatives.

Hi, I just bought NoteWorthy Composer 1.75b recently, and well. It would really be a let down if they charge for it because I just recently purchased the software and I just got it a week ago. if and when they decide to put it up for download. I really think they should think possibly about freezing the download for the current NoteWorthy because people will purchase it and then they will end up having to pay for thesoon to be "current 2.0" version. Like many ohter users I've used the evaluation version for quite a while and decided to invest in this great product, I would gladly pay for the new version only if I wouldn't have already purchased this one so recently.

That's one reason why I'm hesitating to buy it.. My 30 days are almost up, too. I'd just hate to pay for 1.75 now and have to pay more later.. I hope somebody can resolve this question for us.

I have no idea what NWC's pricing strategy is going to be, but if history is an indicator, it won't be an expensive product (unchanged since I bought it in 1996, I think).

Who knows when version 2 will be ready for sale?  Private betatesting took 2 years according to one tester.  Now we're into public betatesting - it could be a while before the 'for sale' version is available.

I strongly recommend spending the $39 now on 1.75 so you'll have the program to use. I'm not sure if having the 1.75 CDROM entitles you to the upgrade or not, but it's money well spent one way or the other.

NWC1 history is available on its history page.

The details of NWC2 availability are spelled out on its main page. Since NWC2 is not yet for sale, any information not provided there is simply not yet available.
