Fiddle Parts

I am trying to achieve an authentic fiddle sound in some of my compositions. If I just enter the notes, it doesn't sound like a fiddle, because the very essence of fiddle playing is bending the notes. I have attempted to produce this sound by using grace notes and by adjusting the rythm patterns. The results sound mechanical and do not achieve the results I am looking for.

I have been quite unsuccessful in using multipoint controls to do this, as I don't know enough about the cause ans effect of the controls. It seems over my head.

Does anyone know a good way to reproduce a fiddle sound?

You're on the right track using the MPCs.
It will probably take more experimentation to achieve satisfactory results.
Some days, it takes 5-10 minutes to get what I want - other days, it never happens...

The MPC to use is "pitch bend".
For Fiddle double-stops, try using
a separate MIDI channel for each
string. That way, one can have an
"open" string stay at pitch, while
a second note is being "pitch-bent."
