Converting .syx to .mid

I am a registered user of Noteworthy (a brilliant package I
must say), and also own a yamaha PSR-330 keyboard.
What I want to do is record s song into the internal
memory of the keyboard (which I can do very easily), and then down load that to my PC so that I can produce the notation within Noteworthy. I have tried the following approaches so far:

1) I have tried recording directly into Noteworthy by
having a simple temp track running and then recording
the song in Notewrothy as I play it. The problem with
this is that the tempo track and the tempo track in the
keyboard get out of synch with each other and so the
resultant notation is messy to say the least.

2) I have also been able to download the stored song data
to a pc package which stores this as System Exclusive midi
files (.syx) files. These obviusly cannot be read into
Noteworthy as it only recognises standard midi files
(.mid). Do you know of any good .syx to .mid conversion
programs? I have found a couple on the internet but none
of them seem to work properly.

FYI my PC runs WIndows 95

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY RECIEVED!!!

MANY THANKS A FRUSTRATED USER

I tried this briefly with my PSR-520.
The keyboard can send out midi, though it then is taken down on one track by NWC instead of split. Maybe single track outs (ie one part at a time) would get around this. I don't know if the 330 is smart enough to do that. I think the 520 can. I think you'd need a true midi program that can read SMPTE (or whatever they're called) time markings (so long as the 330 actually sends them).
Hunt around on the web and you may find a midi sequencer that reads syx files.

Actually, the 330 doesn't allow you to send MIDI data in the
Song Mode, you can only send it in a bulk dump (or as you
record it). Using Cakewalk, or MIDIOX you can get the bulk
dumps as sysx files, but I'm not sure how to convert them to
midi format or vice versa. Although, I did discover that
the 330 has limited XG capabilities. :-)

i don't have noteworthy, just a PSR-330, but for recording
directly into the software sequencer, try changing the midi
clock (can you in noteworthy?) if you set the clock to
match the keyboard's tempo, be sure to hit play on the PSR,
but if you set the keyboard to match the PC's clock, make
sure that noteworthy sends the codes to play the accomp.
i tried all this and it works in Cakewalk.
(sorry i guess i'm a traitor, talking about Cakewalk in a
noteworthy msg board, but sequencers are expensive and
i'm not buying another squencer, even if it is easier to use)
