I recommend you check out NWC's links above to understand how to transpose in future.

For a quick fix, however, here are two scenarios.  Note that you must have the trumpet and trombone on separate staffs.  One is a transposing instrument in treble clef, the other is a non-transposing instrument whose users normally read bass clef.

1.  You've copied the notes in the trumpet part from a score or part written for Bb trumpet.  If so, then in that staff, press F2, select the Midi tab, and set the transposition to -2.  This is what NWC describes in the reply above mine. You can also go to the Instrument tab and set it for trumpet.

2.  You're starting with trumpet notes written in concert [abbr=untransposed, like a flute or piano] pitch[/abbr].  If so, Press Alt-T and on the Tools menu select Transpose.  Set it for +2, and make sure you select "update staff playback [abbr=if you don't, the playback note will be the note shown on the staff in concert pitch]transposition[/abbr].

In both situations, you will end up with the trumpet part written one tone higher than concert pitch.  Since the trumpet plays a tone lower than what is written, this will be correct.

You don't need to do anything with the trombone part since it's not a transposing instrument.
