Another new midi user

I have read through old forum messages in the hope of solving my problem, but I'm afraid I'm not getting any further. I have a Technics KN2000 keyboard, WIN XP and a rightly connected Midi cable (in to out, out to in). My computer does not realise that a keyboard is attached and I'm not sure how to set this up. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

I'm having a similar problem. The PCMCIA card I had with my old laptop won't work with Windows XP. I know there is a "box" of some sort that will mate my keyboard with my computer, but I haven't the foggiest idea where/how to find it. Help?
