tie causes note to "stick"

I am having a problem in playback of my composition.  I have an eighth note E flat (an accidental) tied to the next measure--a dotted half which is tied to another eighth note.  During playback this note sounds, but never releases while the rest of the song continues to play.  When I remove the ties the note releases, but naturally, the music doesn't sound right.  Has anyone else had a similar problem?  If so how did you fix it?

By any chance, is the note sharp/flat/natural in one measure, but not the next measure?

Yes, the accidental is in the first measure and not shown again in the next measure.  We all know the tie carries it over.  Don't tell me NWC wants me to repeat the accidental!

Ok.  That fixed it.

Many thanks, Robert!

As you've probably already noticed, the new accidentals are invisible.

The new "find" feature (ctrl+F or the F3 key) allows you to search for these as a "hanging note tie". Then you can clean them all up at once.
