Re: move staff Reply #3 – 1997-12-17 05:00 am Windows' reactions to a misbehaving program vary in their severity, but in this case, the general bug should show a GPF. Any 16-bit program on Win 95 and Win 3.1 will get away with more flaws, without an immediate GPF (but will become unstable). The 32-bit OS and programs are more likely to fail immediately when a gross error is detected (because it is actually detected by the OS).Bottom line: the staff move problem was a software bug which triggered a memory fault.
